Applications

Applications exploit the video frame rates offered by the technique. Images can be analysed in exactly the same way as conventional laser Doppler images where differences in flow from different regions are assessed, or flow changes expressed as a percentage change from baseline over a period of time.

Cerebral Ischaemia/ Stroke and Migraine research and other areas of cerebral research are eminently suited to the technique due to the high concentration of vessels on the surface of the brain.
